Take an app built in Base44 or Replit to hosting you control. Your AI agent moves the code and data; this page says honestly what comes along and what stays.

You built an app in Base44 or Replit and want it on hosting you control. Your AI coding agent (Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) moves it to aidrop.it from one paragraph. What moves differs. From Replit, the whole app can move: code, database and settings. A few Replit-only services must be replaced. From Base44, only the website part leaves. The data, user sign-in and backend logic stay on Base44 unless your agent rebuilds them.

Published app is the live copy on Replit, with its own production database.

aidrop.it: a plan that runs apps. A Replit app with a database needs a plan with PostgreSQL: Trial, Pro or higher, not Starter. See aidrop.it.

Say this to your agent

For a Base44 app:

Move the front end of my Base44 app to aidrop.it. Code:
GitHub <owner/repository> (React + Vite, Base44 SDK). The backend
(entities, sign-in, functions, integrations) stays on Base44.

Read aidrop.it's runtime rules and follow them. Serve the build as
a static site; send unknown paths to index.html. The build cannot
see Project secrets, so make sure the Base44 app ID and server
address reach it from the repository (they are public IDs).
Check that sign-in works from the new address.

Tell me the link, what still runs on Base44, and what moving each
of those pieces would take.

For a Replit app:

Move my Replit app to aidrop.it. The code is on GitHub:
<owner/repository> (or in the zip at <folder>). Read .replit for
the run command and the dependency files for what it needs.
Read aidrop.it's runtime rules before writing anything and follow
them.

List every Replit-only piece (Replit Auth, App Storage, Replit
Database, connectors, REPLIT_* variables) and your replacement
for each before you change code.

aidrop.it apps cannot open PostgreSQL connections to outside
databases (only web ports leave), so move the data.
Check the Project's backing services and create PostgreSQL only
after I confirm. Dump the production database from this machine
with pg_dump, using the connection string I give you. aidrop.it's
database has no public address: load small data with the database
query tool in batches, or propose a one-off import if it is big.

Secrets page. Report the link, what you replaced and what is left.

What your agent does

Reads your code, lists what depends on the old platform, and asks before adding a database or replacing sign-in.
Builds the app on aidrop.it. If it fails, it reads the error, fixes it and tries again.
For Replit, moves your data into the new database and checks it arrived.
Gives you the link and a list of what was replaced and what stays.

What does not come along

From Base44, the export is the front end. Base44 describes its backend as its own database, sign-in, backend functions and integrations, which your website reaches through Base44’s code library. Those keep running on Base44, so you keep your Base44 account. Moving everything means your agent rebuilds the backend: a real project, not a copy. Base44 can export each data table as a spreadsheet for your agent to load. Sign-in does not come with it, so plan for users to set new passwords.

From Replit, these are Replit services, and your agent replaces them:

Sign in with Replit (Replit Auth), which logs people in with Replit accounts. Your agent swaps in another sign-in service.
App Storage for uploaded files. aidrop.it keeps no files for apps, so they go to a storage service or the database.
Secret values. You copy each one from Replit’s Secrets tool to the Project Secrets page yourself.
Data in an app you never published. It sits in Replit’s development database, which only the app on Replit can reach. Ask Replit’s Agent to export the tables to files first.

Check that it works

Open the link. The home page loads, and refreshing a page works.
Sign in with a test account.
Open a page that shows your data. The records match the old app.
Add something, restart the app from your agent, and check it is still there.

FAQ

Can I export my code from Base44?

Yes. Base44’s GitHub sync copies your app’s code to GitHub; it needs the Builder plan or higher (as of September 2026). You get the website’s code. The data, sign-in and backend functions stay on Base44’s servers, so the exported site keeps depending on Base44.

How do I move a Replit app to another host?

Put the code on GitHub or download it as a zip. Copy your secrets by hand. Copy the production database with standard PostgreSQL tools into the new one. Replace Replit-only services such as Replit Auth and App Storage.

Replit vs Base44: which is easier to leave?

Replit, for most apps. A Replit app is ordinary code plus a standard PostgreSQL database, so both can move. A Base44 backend is Base44’s own service, so leaving fully means rebuilding it. On aidrop.it your agent does either move and tells you first what stays behind.
